General Manager – Mercure Khiva, Uzbekistan

About the role

Mercure Khiva, a newly opened 146-room international hotel in the historic city of Khiva, Uzbekistan, is looking for an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead its next stage of development. The role leads all aspects of hotel operations and drives commercial performance, in line with Accor standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring consistent service quality, operational efficiency and compliance with Mercure brand standards.
• Drive commercial performance, revenue growth, profitability and effective cost management.
• Establish strong operational processes and ensure smooth day-to-day hotel management.
• Lead, develop and motivate a multicultural team, building a strong service culture and high employee engagement.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial performance and key operational indicators.
• Strengthen the hotel's market position and reputation by building relationships with owners, business partners and local stakeholders.
• Work closely with regional Accor teams to align with brand expectations and business objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a General Manager within an international hotel chain, preferably in the midscale or premium segment, with proven experience managing complex operations, ideally including multiple F&B outlets, spa and leisure facilities.
• Strong hands-on operational background, with experience managing operations, financial performance, cost optimization and service standards.
• Previous experience in Central Asia or the CIS region is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead newly opened hotels through their initial operational and commercial development stages.
• Fluency in English is essential; Russian is a strong advantage.
