Accountant for Renewable Energy Project

About the role

Masdar is seeking an Accountant to support the financial management of its Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) in Uzbekistan. The role involves handling bookkeeping, tax compliance, and financial reporting in line with IFRS and local standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record project transactions in the General Ledger, ensuring compliance with local reporting standards and Masdar policies.
• Prepare monthly trial balances, accruals, provisions, and ensure timely closing of books.
• Produce aging reports for receivables and payables, and reconcile bank, customer, and vendor accounts.
• Develop cash‑flow forecasts, management reports, financial analyses and periodic budgets.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice approval and month‑end reporting.
• Act as the focal point for tax authorities, preparing and filing corporate, VAT, and other tax returns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CAP, CIPA, DipIFR or equivalent.
• 4‑6 years of bookkeeping, taxation and financial management experience in large infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and corporate governance practices.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and local financial reporting standards.
• Experience with tax compliance and filing procedures.
