Design Engineer

About the role

The Design Engineer will coordinate and review integrated design and engineering deliverables for a large institutional project in Uzbekistan, ensuring multidisciplinary design quality, local approvals, and resolution of design issues throughout implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate architectural, civil, structural, MEP and specialist design interfaces to ensure coherent project documentation.
• Review drawings, specifications, calculations and technical submissions for completeness, consistency and constructability.
• Support preparation, submission, comment resolution and approval processes with State Expertise (Gosexpertiza) and relevant authorities.
• Use AutoCAD, Revit and BIM workflows to review design coordination and support issue resolution.
• Evaluate design revisions, clarify technical queries and control the impact of changes on other disciplines.
• Provide technical clarification during construction and coordinate responses between designers and site supervision team.
• Maintain design review registers, approval tracking and clear records of technical decisions.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in integrated design and/or engineering of large institutional projects in Uzbekistan.
• Proven track record of obtaining or supporting approvals through State Expertise (Gosexpertiza).
• Fluency in Uzbek and Russian, with a strong working command of English.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit.
• Experience with BIM‑based coordination processes.
