Project Associate (MPX) – G5

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Associate (MPX) to support its mission in Uzbekistan. Working under the Chief of Mission and the National Project Officer on Protection of Migrants, the associate will provide administrative assistance to the Senior Project Assistant and contribute to the implementation of two Sweden‑funded projects focused on preventing irregular migration and strengthening survivor‑centred protection.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the Senior Project Assistant.
• Assist in the planning, monitoring, and reporting of activities for the Sweden‑funded migration projects.
• Coordinate with implementing partners and facilitate the development of Community‑Driven Action Plans.
• Support the creation of local alternatives to irregular migration pathways.
• Maintain project documentation, databases, and correspondence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field, with at least three years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma with five years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in project administration, preferably in migration or protection contexts.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
