Project Associate – MPX Data and Research

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Associate to support data and research activities within its Migrants Protection and Assistance Unit in Tashkent. Working under the Chief of Mission and the National Project Officer on Protection, the associate will contribute to the "Strengthening Survivor‑Centred Protection and Prevention of Trafficking in Persons in Uzbekistan" project funded by SIDA, as well as other migrant protection initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and project support to the Migrants Protection and Assistance Unit.
• Assist in the collection, management, and analysis of data related to migration protection and trafficking prevention.
• Support the preparation of research reports, briefs, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with governmental authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and other partners to facilitate project activities.
• Maintain project documentation, filing systems, and ensure timely reporting to headquarters and donors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Science, International Relations, Development Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field with at least three years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with five years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience liaising with governmental bodies, international institutions, UN agencies and NGOs.
• Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons or similar vulnerable groups.
