Project Associate – Migration Protection (MPX)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Associate to provide administrative support to the National Protection Officer in the Migrants Protection and Assistance unit in Tashkent. The role contributes to several donor‑funded projects aimed at preventing irregular migration, strengthening survivor‑centred protection, and enhancing migrant safety across Central Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day administrative assistance to the National Protection Officer, including document preparation, filing, and correspondence management.
• Support the implementation of the Sweden Ministry of Justice funded project on irregular migration prevention.
• Assist with the SIDA‑funded project focused on survivor‑centred protection and trafficking prevention.
• Contribute to the NORAD‑funded initiative enhancing protection of migrants from violence, exploitation and abuse.
• Coordinate with headquarters and administrative centres to ensure smooth project execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
