National Focal Point – Regional Youth Network (Central Asia)

About the role

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is seeking an Individual Contractor to serve as the National Focal Point for the Regional Youth Network for Central Asia. The contractor will coordinate youth‑focused drug prevention activities, manage outreach materials, and support the national Friends in Focus Programme from a home‑based setting across Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and disseminate informational materials for the Regional Youth Network (RYNCA) and maintain distribution records.
• Maintain correspondence logs and provide administrative liaison for the Friends in Focus Programme.
• Update and manage the RYNCA national membership registry, ensuring accurate youth registrations.
• Arrange logistics for campaigns and at least three local youth consultations, including participant lists, room bookings and minutes.
• Track priority services, compile administrative summaries, and support youth‑driven drug prevention initiatives.
• Provide routine updates to RYNCA social media channels and produce monthly growth summaries.
• Prepare and submit the Mid‑Term Progress Report and Final Progress Report on time.

Required profile

• Proven experience in youth outreach, community coordination or similar administrative roles.
• Ability to work remotely across multiple Central Asian countries and travel when required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with UN procedures and reporting standards.
