About the role
UNFPA Uzbekistan is seeking creative writers and editors to support its advocacy, communication and humanitarian programmes. The position is offered under a Long‑Term Arrangement (LTA) / roster and will involve producing high‑quality digital content, reports and stories for donors, partners and the public.
Key responsibilities
- Write, edit and proofread a range of communication products, including programme reports, case studies, human‑interest stories, articles, fact sheets and web content.
- Produce event coverage stories (250‑800 words) with first drafts delivered within 2‑3 days.
- Support the development of advocacy and campaign materials that showcase UNFPA activities in Uzbekistan.
- Collaborate with programme managers and the Operations/Programme team for technical supervision.
Required profile
- Professional writers/editors with proven experience in development, humanitarian or UN‑related communication.
- Fluency in Uzbek and Russian for local assignments, and native‑level English for international consultancy.
- Ability to tailor content for diverse audiences such as the public, donors and partners.
