Senior Corporate Tax Advisory

About the role

EY is looking for a Senior Corporate Tax Advisory consultant in Tashkent. The role oversees complex, technically demanding consulting projects, manages client engagements and builds advisory services and long-term client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee high-level management and successful delivery of technically complex consulting projects, ensuring technical excellence and high-quality client service.
• Collaborate with other service lines, geographies and work groups to build advisory services, opportunities and long-term relationships.
• Focus on key client business strategies and tax policies to develop a pipeline.
• Manage client engagements, monitor progress and deliverables, implement standardised processes, resolve or escalate issues and drive performance improvements.
• Assist partners in generating new business, building client networks and growing the client base through marketing and business development.
• Create, lead and motivate high-performing teams, foster a positive learning culture and coach team members.
• Manage engagement economics and communicate fees and estimates-to-complete to partners and clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Law, Taxation or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of business and personal taxes in Uzbekistan and of international taxation principles (DTTs, OECD guidelines).
• Over 6 years of relevant corporate taxation experience, preferably in a large professional services firm.
• Proven visibility on the market, such as conference participation, articles and a network of business relationships.
• Proven managerial, organisational and project management experience.
• Fluent in English, Russian and Uzbek.

• Proficiency in business and tax technical writing.
• MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
