Senior Associate – Tax Reporting & Strategy

About the role

Join PwC's Tax Reporting and Strategy (TRS) team in Tashkent as a Senior Associate. You will support clients in meeting tax obligations while aligning tax function investments with business goals, focusing on both direct and indirect taxes and statutory financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and review preparation and submission of VAT, WHT, CIT and other tax filings, as well as financial and statistical reports.
• Perform tax accounting for representative offices, permanent establishments, and local companies.
• Assist with tax and VAT registrations for foreign entities operating in Uzbekistan.
• Supervise junior team members and delivery centers, ensuring adherence to established procedures.
• Participate in automation and standardisation of business processes and contribute to client relationship development.

Required profile

• Higher education in finance, accounting or economics.
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience in accounting/taxation.
• Strong knowledge of Uzbekistan accounting and tax legislation.
• Proficiency in MS Office and 1C (v8.2 or v8.3); experience with bank‑client systems and electronic tax cabinet.
• Analytical mindset, ability to handle large data sets and work effectively in a team.
• Intermediate English and Russian; Uzbek language for communication with authorities.
