Manager, Accounting Advisory Services

About the role

PwC is looking for a Manager to lead and deliver accounting advisory projects and services for external clients, working with a team of consultants in Tashkent.

Key responsibilities

• Accounting advisory: IFRS conversions, applying new IFRS standards, recommendations on accounting policies, transaction accounting including post-deal accounting and valuation, carve-out financial statements and support with accounting standards changes
• Accounting transformation: understanding clients' accounting functions, documenting their processes and proposing improvements based on best practice
• Government accounting (optional): transition from cash to accruals accounting under IPSAS and building an accounting framework
• Structuring services: solutions for acquisitions, divestments, IPOs, capital projects, group reorganisations, financial restructuring and strategic alliances
• Treasury accounting: supporting financial services clients on IAS 39 derivatives and hedge accounting, and the implementation of IFRS 9, especially credit impairment

Required profile

• Higher education in Finance or Accounting
• ACCA certified
• More than 5 years of experience in financial reporting; experience in Big 4 firms is preferable
• Good report writing skills in English and Russian, with experience in this area
• Focused, disciplined, with good project management skills
• Business development skills are preferable
• Ability to travel to neighbouring countries
