English Teacher – Uzbekistan National Reform

About the role

Join a historic, government‑backed education reform in Uzbekistan as an English Teacher for secondary students (Grades 9‑11). You will work in iconic Silk Road cities, delivering high‑impact lessons, mentoring local faculty, and leading extracurricular immersion activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 20 contact hours of English instruction per week to secondary students.
• Conduct two weekly seminars to upskill local teachers.
• Facilitate six hours of extracurricular activities that promote cultural immersion.
• Collaborate with the Ministry of Preschool and School Education to support the national curriculum.

Required profile

• Native‑level English proficiency.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in TESOL, Linguistics, Education, or any field plus CELTA/TEFL/TESOL certification.
• Proven experience teaching English at the secondary/high‑school level.
• Enthusiastic about cultural immersion and long‑term professional development.

Required skills

• TESOL/TEFL certification (CELTA, TESOL, etc.).
