English Teacher – International Position in Uzbekistan

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic English teachers to join a government‑backed national reform programme in Uzbekistan. As a Cultural Ambassador you will teach secondary‑school students, support local faculty and contribute to extracurricular activities while living in historic cities such as Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 20 contact hours per week to students in grades 9‑11.
• Lead two‑hour weekly seminars to up‑skill local teachers.
• Facilitate six hours of extracurricular immersion activities.
• Collaborate with the Ministry of Preschool and School Education on curriculum implementation.

Required profile

• Native‑level English proficiency.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in TESOL, Linguistics, Education or any field plus CELTA/TEFL/TESOL certification.
• Minimum two years of experience teaching English at secondary or high‑school level.
• Energetic, culturally curious and committed to nation‑building.

Required skills

• CELTA, TEFL or TESOL certification.
• Strong classroom management and lesson‑planning abilities.
