Country Manager – Uzbekistan

About the role

Lead and oversee all business operations for Surbana Jurong in Uzbekistan, driving market growth and ensuring organizational excellence. The Country Manager will manage cross‑functional teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and represent the firm with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the country strategy aligned with global objectives and local market dynamics.
• Monitor business performance through KPIs, ensuring operational efficiency, quality delivery and profitability.
• Lead country teams across functions, providing direction and fostering collaboration.
• Coordinate financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting to headquarters.
• Ensure financial discipline, cost optimisation and compliance with local standards.
• Support business development initiatives, identify new market opportunities and maintain industry networks.
• Contribute to proposals, bids and client presentations as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Economics or related field (MBA preferred).
• Proven leadership experience in managing multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Fluency in Uzbek, English and Russian (written and spoken).
• Strong understanding of Uzbekistan’s regulatory, economic and cultural environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
