Programme Implementation & Operations Support Intern

About the role

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Regional Office for Afghanistan, Central Asia, Iran and Pakistan (ROCA) in Tashkent is seeking a Programme Implementation & Operations Support Intern for a six‑month unpaid, part‑time placement. The intern will work five days a week (25 hours) under the supervision of professional staff, supporting the office’s work across Central Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in organizing meetings, events, conferences and side events to strengthen engagement with UN system partners.
• Support the processing, drafting and finalising of training materials.
• Contribute to social media campaigns and develop communication materials showcasing good practices and impact.
• Collect and enter data on science, technology, innovation and sustainable development practices into databases.
• Conduct web research and provide analysis on relevant topics.
• Provide operational support in finance, procurement, human resources and general administration.
• Assist with archiving tasks, including preparing procurement documents for archiving and registering archived files.
