Senior Design Review Architect

About the role

The Senior Design Review Architect will provide independent architectural design review for research, biotechnology, and laboratory facilities. This role focuses on functional planning, cleanroom requirements, multidisciplinary coordination, sustainability, and BIM‑based design quality.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural concepts, detailed designs, specifications and drawings for functionality, completeness and technical consistency.
• Assess research campus, biotechnology laboratory, cleanroom, circulation, zoning and operational planning requirements.
• Coordinate architectural interfaces with structural, MEP, laboratory technology, safety and other disciplines.
• Use BIM/Revit and clash‑detection processes to identify design conflicts and improve coordination before construction.
• Review applicable LEED/BREEAM or equivalent sustainability considerations and recommend practical improvements.
• Issue structured review comments, track responses and verify that critical design issues are satisfactorily resolved.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Architecture.
• Valid international professional architecture license or registration.
• At least 10 years of experience in design and/or design review of research campuses, biotechnology laboratories, cleanrooms or comparable complex facilities.
• Strong professional English for project reporting, technical reviews and coordination.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in BIM workflows, including Revit.
• Clash detection expertise.
• Practical knowledge of cleanroom planning and laboratory design.
• Experience with LEED, BREEAM or comparable sustainable design standards.
