Project Manager / Team Leader

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Project Manager / Team Leader to provide overall leadership, coordination and technical management of a complex multidisciplinary project in Uzbekistan. The role will ensure alignment with project objectives, contractual requirements, international financing institution procedures and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the multidisciplinary project team, coordinating planning, implementation, supervision and reporting across all workstreams.
• Oversee contract administration under relevant FIDIC conditions, managing technical decisions, risks, variations and contractor obligations.
• Ensure compliance with international financing institution (IFI) procedures and reporting requirements.
• Act as the primary coordination point among client, contractors, consultants, authorities and other stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, quality, schedule and major risks, initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Provide high‑level technical review and guidance for institutional, infrastructure, laboratory, biotechnology and agricultural components.
• Prepare clear, accurate and decision‑oriented project reports, meeting records and management updates.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum 15 years of international experience on complex institutional or infrastructure projects.
• Previous team‑leader experience on at least two comparable projects involving laboratories, biotechnology, agriculture or similar facilities.
• Advanced knowledge of FIDIC contracts (Silver Book and/or Yellow Book) and international financing institution rules.
• Professional fluency in English, the project language.
